Rhy. gigantea var. petoniana is a famous white version of this species.
|
It's gorgeous. Like the otherone a very nice waxy looking substance.
|
Very lovely! The more I see these the more I what to give them a try.
|
I agree with Ted, now I just want one of these.
Gorgeous blossoms!! |
I keep looking at all the Rhy pictures because I think they are so beautiful. This one is really exceptional. I love it, I have never seen one so pristine looking.

Simply gorgeous, Pheli! I bought the alba version several years ago, but I must have been doing something wrong because it doen't bloom, while other Rhynchos grown side by side do...! Go figure!
|
Mauro, as I know, it's not more difficult to bloom the white one than other color versions.
Rhy. gigantea should be heavily fed and in late autumn and early winter, drier condition will also faciliate blooming. |
I used to have one of these, but I lost it to rot.
I'm definitely going to get another one when I can. It was probably the easiest of the vandaceous plants to grow and bloom. I also loved the scent of the flowers (the blooms smelled like orange tea). :) |
