Do I Still Mist if Humidity is High?

I got a new top for my home-made wardian case, and it is now doing a lovely job of keeping in the humidity. Perhaps TOO good a job! I watered on Saturday and have done no misting, etc. since (today is Tuesday), and the humidity has been staying pretty consistently around 80% and above.

I've got a fan for air circulation, and am experimenting with propping up corners, etc. until I can find the perfect configuration to keep things more like 50% - 60%. I don't currently have tolumnia in the case (although I plan to soon) -- just a couple catt hybrids and some Den. kingianum. I'm kind of wondering in advance, however: If I DID have something like tolumnia in the case now, would I still mist daily with the humidity this high? Or would I hold off misting until the humidity was more under control?

Thanks for any insight you can offer!

If you mist the air with the goal of boosting the humidity, you obviously no longer need to do that. If, on the other hand, misting is how you water and feed mounted plants, yes.

Great, Ray -- Thanks! That's the information I was looking for. (I guess I didn't word the question very well.)
