Phal. mannii
I posted this in the Phal. species forum but thought I'd share here too. I purchased this seedling last spring at our society show from Clackamas Orchids. This is it's first time blooming and it's sporting 3 spikes. I think I have a new favorite.

Beautiful :cheer:. Manii is a great species and Clackamas has great orchids. I just bought a baby Paph. primulinum from them at the Tacoma show today.

Terri, I love it and this is why I'm changing to species phals. But I am curious as to the spread of the leaves. For me all the hybrid phals are just too big and I find that the species are "usually" somewhat smaller. So how big?

Thanks everyone! :)
Howard, this is a pretty small plant. It's smaller than any of my hybrids. The leaves are slender and hang over the pot. They have less substance to them than other Phals. From base to leaf tip they are about 4.5-5 inches long. |
Thanks Terri... I especially love the frills on the lip!

Very nice, Terry!

I agree with everyone, a real beauty. And you say you got it last spring as a seedling. You must have a really green thumb! Congrats. ALways love seeing pics of this species.
