Mold?

Hi All,
I am looking for some help. I went away on holidays and I have come back to find a mold growing on my Dendrobium and my Cymbidium. I have tried to identify it by looking at pictures online but I cant narrow it down. I have isolated the other orchids from these two and I have looked over them and I cant find any creatures at all. In addition to mold the Cymbidium has a few leaves that have turned yellow to brown and there is a glue behind the flowers as well. Has anyone any idea what is wrong with my babies? Thanks for looking and any help or advice.
Nibbler.

a little more information please .....

the mold is it Black? powdery or just spots?

that glue behind the blooms is most likley what is called happy sap...lol is it sweet tasting if so thats it.

if you have happy sap you can also get a blak sooty mold that grows upon it and that is not so hard to get rid of wash the sap off carefully.

the cym leaves browning could just be old age leaves do not live forever and maybe its just their time.....

I have tasted it. It is sweet and the mold in my eyes looks powdery but almost grey not black. I had the unfortunate (or fortunate depending on your opinion) joy of sitting down to dinner beside the orchids and there are little things running around the roots. Tiny, maybe silvery like flys with no wings. Could this be the issue and any idea what these are?

the little silvery bugs are prob not the problem ...

the sweet glue is what is called happy sap and is actually a good sign, but will in some cases cause the black sooty mold to grow.

wipe the leaves off carefully and clean them up.

I cant id the bugs from that but I would just use one of the remedies suggested in the pests section for them.

I really dont see a major problem but its always worrysome when we find such things and dont know what to expect ....

That you for the advice. I appreciate it. I was really worried because I wanted to get some more orchids but not if i have very sick plants.
