Is this a virus?
2 Attachment(s)
Hi Everyone!
I made a beginners' mistake a few months ago and bought a plant that wasn't entirely healthy. It's a Sharry Baby I purchased on impulse at a local nursery. It had aphids (which I didn't see until I got it home), the leaves were severely pleated, and there are black spots on the leaves. I've kept it segregated from the others, but now I'm wondering if I should put it to sleep. I've noticed similar black dots on a plant that was next to the Sharry Baby pre-segregation. This plant also caught the aphid problem before I quickly went into action. If it's a virus, I don't want it to spread. I tried to do my homework, but I couldn't get a straight story from my orchid books. What do you think? |
No its not a virus but is typical of sharry baby ,I think it maybe genetic as I have seen many of them with these spots on the leaves . It will more than make up for it when it flowers!!

I agree with Des, this is typical for Onc. Sharry Baby.

Thank You! That's great to hear.
I tend to over-worry . . . |
