Those roots are dried and dead.

It looks like Phalaenopsis aerial roots. They will often die like this in hobbyist homes because of insufficient watering.

Check the roots in the pot. If they look the same your plant is dead. If they still look good trim these and re-pot.

Roots are dry.

Could be:

1. Insufficient humidity.

2. Insufficient watering.

3. Both.

60% - 100% humidity.

Allow a slight dry out. Do not dry out completely. Here's a hint, when you water, the roots will turn bright green from absorbing all the water. When they dry, the roots get whiter and whiter. Water again when they dry a bit and turn a light green. Don't be surprised if you must water everyday (you might not have to, you're more likely going to have to water every other day - depends on your growing conditions).

Your plant has a few living roots.

Will it live?

Don't know, that's up to how you take care of it from now on and how strong the plant is.
