Long shot: 2 NOID paphs

I realize it's a long shot as there are sooo many hybrids but I was curious if anyone recognizes my two NOID sequential blooming paphs. I LOVE sequential bloomers so I couldn't pass these little guys up. On the last picture the flash makes them look shinny but their not.

Thanks!
Kristen

they are lovely!
The second one looks rather like one I have - niveum 'Puff' x Pinocchio ' Pippin'

The pink one is probably a Dellaina or Delophyllum, or some other hybrid between delenatii and a Cochlopetalum. The white one could be what WhiteRabbit showed, or something similar (niveum x Cochlo), or it could be Deperle (albino). Could we see a picture of the entire plant?

OMG they are so pretty....I'm just now appreciating the Paphs and Phrags. I wouldn't have turned them away either.

Very nice pastels.

the foliage is a bit rough - plant was outdoors (shaded) at hardware store during a brutal heat spell and was bone dry when I got it, so looks a bit worse for wear. The foliage is faintly mottled.

Sorry for the delay...the leaves are slightly mottled and look very similar to the Pinocchio's I have. Thanks for the help!

I think that your white one is probably an albino Deperle. Again, the pink one is either a Dellaina or Delophyllum, or some other delenatii x Cochlo cross. It's pretty tough to say for sure which one, but I'm thinking Delophyllum.

Paph Deperle is (primulinum x delenatii). The color of the flowers depends on what form of primulinum is used in the cross. If the yellow form (f. flavum) is used, the flowers turn out white. If the pink form (f. purpurascens) is used, they turn out pink. Your plant is not a true albino because it has a red spot on the bottom of the staminode (you would have to use primulinum f. flavum and delenatii f. albinum to get a true albino).

Paph Dellaina is (delenatii x victoria-regina). Note that chamberlainianum is a commonly used synonym for victoria-regina. Paph Delophyllum is (delenatii x glaucophyllum). Because victoria-regina and glaucophyllum are VERY similar species, these two hybrids are almost indistinguishable.

Thanks slipperfreak for the info! Very interesting that the white Deperle comes from the primulinum var. flavum and has almost no pink from the delenatii. Just a touch on the staminode.

I love what I learn here!
