Dendrobium oligophyllum
2 Attachment(s)
This very miniature plant was mounted on what looks like rain gutter guard when I bought it several months ago. The plant is growing on both sides. The flower is about 5/8" and is very long lasting. Since my greenhouse is getting too full, I seem to be filling my desire for more plants by acquiring miniatures. Sophronitis brevipedunculata is high on my want list and if anyone knows of a source for the plant, please let me know.

Hi Jerry
Jerry Thanks for posting this unusual way to grow an orchid. This one seems to be a survivor. I have a backbulb in water culture with buds. The front section seems to be doing well in S/H too. |
Jerry, this is my favorite Dendrobium
It just keeps going and going...and going some more! :) Mine is mounted on cork but the way yours is done makes more sense to me and I may make a change with mine. The plant grows like crazy and has been on this piece of cork for a few years but it really isn't tightly attached, just enough to not fall off if it gets hit. :hmm What to do...what to do ;) :thanx: |
That is such a cute little flower!
