Hi all I bought this as Cym. pseudobaldianum. It is either a new species from Viet Nam or a natural Hybrid from Viet Nam. It flowers on the same bulb for at least two years so far.

Jeff--
According to the RHS, Cym. pseudoballianum is a natural hybrid (though it does not list the parents...) There is a bit of anecdotal information that it should be a large plant, similar in growth habit Cym. parishii, and that it might be a natural hybrid of Cym. eburneum. You can find a bit on it here: The Orchid Hunter

It reminds me both in growth and in flower form a lot of Cym. Frosty Jack (mastersii x erythrostylum)

similar but different!

Thanks I read the blog. I have grown frosty jack and it is similar but as the flowers get older they turn pink. Frosty jacks don't do that. And, neither do the other similar species. Ken Jacobsen grows Cym. baldianum and it stays white. So, an interesting plant. When it flowers again I will take pictures as it turns from white to pinl!
