Color is a bit off I'm afraid. (Anyone have a "sure fire" method for accurately capturing purple or red shades?) a Perenial problem for me it seems. The true color is closer to the lip of the flower in profile though with a bit more purple added.

Nice. I like the crystalline texture.

Its very nice. Natural sunlight is best for picture lighting.

I agree, if you take your pictures in natural light conditions, the colors will be right on. The best light is diffused sunlight. Indoor lighting under florescent or incadescent bulbs will always be distorted due to the light spectrum these emit.

I do not know if it is sure fire, but try using natural lighting as much as possible. :photo: Also realize that even if you get it right on your monitor, not all monitors are calibrated to the same colors!

Very pretty flower and so sparkling! I do have problems with some flowers. They don't want to show correct colour on photo. And I don't know why. I tried many regimes and lighting and nothing had help. At the same time I take quite correct pictures of my red sophrs under artificial lights on black background. Mistery.....

Reds are very hard to photograph. I've been playing around with my cheap digital and almost had it right. A digital SLR is on my want list.
