:waving Hi all, I just purchased a sweet little phal, P.amabilis x P equestris, alba. Is it still a species orchid?

Nope. Yours is a primary hybrid registered as Phal. Artemis.

no, it's a hybrid.
any species crossed with another species is a hybrid.

:hello Would you believe Walmart? :lol: It was tucked behind a whole bunch of huge purples and whites [mostly tagged] and I really had to work at getting it out :rofl: but so worth it. I even think I detected a faint floral scent in the mornings :D

I would have bought it. I love primary hybrids - the charm of the species involved but with hybrid vigor and some variation. Fun, fun, fun.
