Epidendrum pitanga & Epidendrum schomburgkii
Epidendrum schomburgkii is a well-knwon reed stemmed with very large flowers for this type of Epi. Epidendrum pitanga is a new species recently discovered in Bahia State, Brazil, and described last year, also of the reed stem type, with flowers similar to those of schomburgkii, but having half the size and also a slightly different color (a little redder than schomburgkii).
Both can be seen in the photos below. I actually like both of them though I always prefer larger flowers. Both are very bright and cheery!
