Catasetum schmidtianum

Catasetum schmidtianum normally has heavily spotted, dark colored flowers. Mine is a not so common clear flower, with less spots.
These Catasetuns from the Amazon region do best in warm places with high air humidity.

Very nice Mauro! I hope you can get into Catasetinae as much as you are into Catts! This one looks great.

Yes, Mauro, you are right. Often you can see very dark, almost dramatic, if you want, flowers of Catasetum schmidtianum. Yours just shows beautiful diversity of the species. I remember for not so long time ago catwalker showed couple of other colour form of Catasetum schmidtianum and I have to say that all of them are just lovely! :)

Mauro those flowers are simply beautiful. Hope you post here much more frequent.

Mauro you still are on time to avoid catasetinae.... please, I beg you... don't listen to Gena, Bruno, Isurus and Ramón, they are all bad people trying (with success) to make cata-brain-wash in the forum.
