Brazilian beginner

I was impressed with members identifying my mystery orchid so quickly, so I'm making my formal introduction. I didn't intend to acquire so many orchids, but they just seem to be drawn to me. Fortunately, our climate makes it easy - I just stick them in my tree and they grow.

I have a shipment coming in from Brazil in May from Buena Vista orchids. Have you heard of them?:scratchhead: I hope to retire someday in a cloud forest in Central or South America! My husband is not too thrilled about it but I have about 20 years to talk him into it!:fight It must be wonderful to stick them on a tree and watch them grow! I cannot wait! You are so fortunate! I do not have it too bad in Florida but it still freezes here,:(( until global warming puts us under water I will haul them inside or put them in a greenhouse.:dumb:  ~L~

E aí, tudo belê?

Wellcome aboard! Your plant is certainly a Miltonia regnelli , mine is blooming also (see at "now blooming forum"). It's very easy to grow (I think even more easier in Franca than in S. Paulo), don't mind about temperature, only choose a semi-shaded place in very hot times.
Do you will come to AOSP show friday to sunday? I'll go friday afternoon, may be we set an appointment?

Abração,

Frederico

Tudo joia!

I can't get that far away from home. I'll have to wait until our little show here in town next week. I'm sure the AOSP would be heavenly for me. Maybe I'll plan my life better next year!

Yes, reputable company.

I love it here, hope you make it here someday too.

Don't worry, in september AOSP will promote the spring show (I'm not sure about the schedule, usually 2nd weekend of the month)
Até mais,
Frederico

Welcome to the Orchid Board!! Glad you could join. We are truely becoming international! You are very lucky indeed to be able to stick your orchids into your tree. I'm in New York City, and I consider you lucky because you have a tree to stick your orchids into!!
