Den shiraishii. Evergreen new Guinea latouria den. Warm to intermediate.

I really like that flower. What a stunning center!
|
This should be used more in the Latouria breeding going on over at H&R. atroviolacuem x shiraishii would be phenomenal.

SOS, I second your thought. Catwalker, have you got any of those for sale?

I really LOVE this flower !!
Congrats ! |
(SOS. "This should be used more in the Latouria breeding going on over at H&R. atroviolacuem x shiraishii would be phenomenal.")
Den shiraishii is a relatively new species, discovered in New Guinea within the last 15-20 years. We got some small artificially propagated seedlings and grew them up and now have our own breeding plants. Den shiraishii is already in the mix of the various latouria dens we use for breeding. (Carl. "have you got any of those for sale?") Yes. I'll be up there this September ... 2010, right, not 2009. |
I'm looking forward to your visit in 2010. You know, you could have come in 2009 and waited.
I definitely need a D shiraisii. Carl |
Little too cold for me up there at the North Pole.
We had about 62 last week ... sometimes we even get down to 50 degrees. I believe you get down a wee bit colder than that. Every time I see a post by one of you Alberta dwellers, I'm amazed how you can grow & bloom orchids. This will be my third trip up there. |
Very cool lip!

I'm loving this one Catwalker! Very nice. How large a plant is it?
