Bulb. Wilbur Chang
One of the best things that attracts me to orchid shows is the diversity in plants that you can see. This is a good example of that.
Bulb. Wilbur Chang = Bulb. (echinolabium x carunculatum) http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ang_Large_.JPG |
Bizarro-world! That's a freaky orchid.

That is just too cool! I love it.
I recently was thinking about this and wondered. The two shows I have been to, I have not come across any fragrances. Neither pleasing nor repulsive. Has anyone smelled a really bad smelling Bulbo at a show, or are these guys band from shows? |
Actually, I have never (personally) smelled a bad-smelling bulbo. In fact I wonder if I can smell any orchid :scratchhead: I haven't been able to detect smells from anything other than Encyclia tampensis. My Sharry Baby is due any time now, so that will be the test.

I wouldn't grow one, but I think it is very interesting to look at.

Did I understand this right? Do you grow them outdoors in Ohio.
