wicking

Transferred my phal this morning. Just curious, how do I know if my media is or isn't wicking properly?

If you just transferred it, hopefully you had some noot root nubbins growing. Bottom heat also helps really well in adapting them to the media. But for wicking, if you've got a clear pot, just look for wettness up the pot, hopefully reaching all the way to the top of the pot. If it's clear, you can also see wetness on the side of the pot, indicating wicking. If you dont have a clear pot, you should still be able to see that the top LECA is wet/damp
