Spectacular!!! I've heard jongheana is one of the trickier laelias to grow- is there anything specific that makes it a challenge??
I've mostly seen this one mounted- easily rotting?
stunning

Beautiful flower!
I struggle with growing the smaller Laelia's... The large ones grow and bloom just fine for me, but the small ones always struggle.
I would welcome any advise on the best potting/mounting/growing conditions!

It seems to me that the plant is prone to diseases, especially if you lost the hand with watering. Mounted plants suffer a lot if the air humidity is low even though watered every day. If the plant is mounted and the air humidity is too low (20-30%) for long, the roots dry and die, the plant quickly dehydrates and also dies. Darker places also favors fungal diseases and once attacked it is very difficult to save it.
Despite every tip say it should be grown mounted, I don't do it anymore. The best thing for me is a medium that keeps mild humidity combined with bright light and moderate air movement.
