optimal temp/humidity for phalaenopsis
Another newbie question for you all.
I tried searching this but I couldn't find a conclusive answer. Right now I have three phalaenopsis at a constant humidity of 65% and a temperature that varies from 30C to 24C at night. I am thinking the temp might be a bit on the high side with too small of a spread between day and night? Is it better to have humidity as high as possible without condensation forming? Or is there a happy medium? |
The humidity you posted is fine.
The temperatures are okay. Ideally they shouldn't be higher than 90 F and no lower than 60 F. |
Sounds fine. Hybrid phals are pretty forgiving about growing conditions, as long as the humidity and temperature aren't too low, and as long as they get good light. In France this summer my phals had to live through 35-40°C weather for a few weeks and they are just fine. 2 phals even set spikes.
