Jack's Professional RO question
Can anyone help me, I grow S/H.?
I just finished my Dyna grow/Protekt bottles. I have a 5lb pail of Jack's Professional 12-3-15-7-2 Orchid RO fertilizer and a smaller pail of Jack's Pro PH Adjuster Plus that I had bought a year ago and now I want to switch to using it. I don't have any literature on this product and there is nothing on the labels regarding how much per gallon of RO water to use, I cant find anything on the web. Does anyone have a formula ? |
FirstRays has a conversion equation which is awesome for this type of situation. So if you were to shoot for 150ppm of nitrogen in your water, you would add 1 teaspoon (.95 tsp. rounded up) of fertilizer per gallon.

I recommend 125 ppm N at every watering for plants in S/H culture.
For 125 ppm N, the simplest calculation is to divide 10 by the %N on the label to get teaspoons per gallon to use. Rounding up or down to stay in the 100-150 range is no issue. 10/12 = 0.83, so anywhere between 3/4 and 1 teaspoon per gallon ought to be fine. |
Thanks both, do you know how I use the PH Adjuster Plus with the fertilizer?
