Well we've had Bil since New Years Eve and he is now 10 months old. Spanish Water dogs for the most part love the water and Bil is no exception. I was finishing my shower the other morning and he started barking and backing up and barking again...it was the shower cap. He was not sure what it was . Now he knows. :rofl:

:rofl: He's so cute. The next thing you know he'll be trying to take a shower with you. I love his curls and the expression on his face.

If you have never had a verrry active working dog and trained dogs in obedience you should not even consider have one of these guys. They need a job and do not do well crated up for long periods of time. I have had many other working dogs over the last 40 years. He is by far the most to handle. But We love him. I already knew he would be a handful.

His hair is very curly. I have to clipper him all the way down about every 3-4 months so he drys off from swimming in the pool quickly.

How do you take such a dog for a swim in the middle of alligator alley? My golden retriever still loves swimming after 12 years but he just can't do it without hurting for the next couple of days.
