Now In Bloom

I'm new to posting here, so should share some of my species Phal babies that are now in bloom.

Phal zebrina

Just starting to bloom-Phal equestris v. cyanochilus. The pale yellow color is quite nice. There are 3 spikes coming .

Phal venosa-an underappreciated species, but one that I think is really beautiful.

One of my very faves-Phal. cornu-cervi. This one has been blooming like crazy most of the summer.

Phal pulchra-the color is just great.

:hello

Welcome to OB Susan!

Your Phals are all lovely but I really like Phal javanica. Those markings are mesmerizing!
How tiny is she?

Just wondering, did you get any of these from Olympic Orchids in Seattle. I've been looking at their special collection of mounted species Phals and I'm sorely tempted...:)

Thanks for sharing your blooms.

Wonderful flowers. I've never seen one like the zebera before and it's stunning.

Wow! Beautiful collection! I love the zebrinia and the equestrus. I have never seen that variety of equestrus before. (I would love to know where you got this) It's simply stunning! Love the pale lavender tip on the lip :bowing

Great growing, Susan! They're all beautiful but I especially love the equestris and the pulcra. Thanks for sharing.

Wowwee!! Beautiful, Susan!! *Love* the zebrina and pulchra. Cornu-cervi has just recently bloomed for me for the first time, and it is now a definite fave of mine too.

Natural spread is only about 1/2 inch, though she is a first bloomer. Time will tell if she will bloom any larger.

None of these are from Olympic, but I do have a "regular" equestris from them that is about blooming size and is very healthy. The pulchra, cornu-cervi, and zebrina are all from Sorella. Got them at the same time quite a few years ago. The equestris v. cyanochilus is from Sapphire Dragon and is a fairly new acquisition. The venosa is from Carmela I think, but have also had it for a long time so that may not be correct. The javanica was an Asian import. I believe it came from Formosa Orchids.
