what's blooming in the garden
After spending so many months away in the Netherlands, it was nice to go back to our family countryhouse when I returned to France. So I thought I'd share with you some of the things that are blooming now. There isn't much, since no one had much time this spring to plant flowers. The backyard prairie is also badly in need of mowing! So if anyone wonders why I'm not on OB very much this summer, it's because I'm hanging out over there, where there's no internet. See you all in September.
The Buddleya bush in the back is covered in butterflies and honeybees and is probably around 9-10ft tall! The more I cut it back in the winter, the larger it gets! http://inlinethumb30.webshots.com/33...500x500Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb45.webshots.com/44...500x500Q85.jpg http://inlinethumb13.webshots.com/42...500x500Q85.jpg Part of the front of the house: http://inlinethumb51.webshots.com/27...500x500Q85.jpg Our 'terrasse' area on one side of the house: http://inlinethumb43.webshots.com/35...500x500Q85.jpg |
Wow! The whole setting is ready for the camera and you have started a wonderful job of it Camille. The butterfly shot is beautiful. Thanks for posting.
From my experience, it is just as important to take pictures as it is to groom the garden. That is all I have left of my previous gardens. I wish I had taken more. |
