Gorgeous! I love this little Laelia. I have a young one I got last summer which didn't establish very easily. Am hoping it has fully recovered and doing better now. Thanks for sharing your photos!

I found this info about L. mantiqueirae on Jay's Internet encyclopedia - very useful resource, by the way. Not from Martinique, but from Brazil.
"Found in Minas Gerias as a warm to cool growing Brazilian miniature species and is a "rupicolous" lithophyte found at elevations around 1000 to 1800 meters and blooms on a short to tall, several [7+] flowered inflorescence in the fall and winter until spring in northern cultivation. Best grown in baskets of chopped treefern in warm to cool temperatures, good air circulation and bright light, as well as a dry rest in the winter." |
