STUPID ME

Hi, so me and my rambuctiousness, I felt the need to replant my orchid mid bloom even tho they say not to, it was getting soo big and outgrowing its pot. So I did this, with the wrong substrait of course, I went to buy it the big bag above it was what i needed grab the smaller bag without paying attention and stupid me grabbed the worng one and didnt notice till i had already replanted. I need for phal grabbed for catt, it had no moss in it. SO ok, Now most of the roots are dead and dried out at the top, there are two that are still living, I put some moss in with it what i had. And the bottom of the dead roots are still white not looking to well but still hard and not dead dead. Is there anything I should do to help this thing live. I have heard that even if you kill everything and still have the bulb there is a good chance that it will live. The two that were on the top and not covered, i covered with more stuff and cut off some of it dying leaves and I took its flowers off as well. Ok so yeah is there anything else I should do????

This is a phal, right? If you could post pics it would be a tremendous help. Just wondering, did you presoak the mix before you planted?

Yes i did presoak the bark mix, for about 4 hours and it dried out in like 2 days, grrrr..... it is a phal cant take a pic cause i covered everything with moss and would prefer not to take it out again and possibly cause more damage.

Yeah, from the description it sounds like you've done the right things. I would keep it away from sun and let it work on healing itself. It should be okay. I've repotted some that were blooming and they lived just fine. It's not an ideal time to repot, but sometimes it can't be helped. It does create added stress to the plant, but they are stronger than we give them credit. Give it time, and it should be fine. It's just going through the adjustment. Good luck to you! :)
