Hey All,
So I woke up this morning and checked the bamboo skewer in my catt and I found not only a snail but these very tiny silver bugs! Does anyone know what they are? And how I can treat this infestation? What do I do? :( Thanks - Katie |
Somehow they remind me on silverfish but it seems weird to me that they live in potting medium. Besides these don't like light.Your's seem much smaller than silverfish.
Curious what they are. Sorry I don't think I can help you... Nicole |
They reminded me of silverfish too, but I thought those liked a very dry enviroment and I would be suprised to find them in plant medium.
They look a lot bigger and darker than the springtails I sometimes find in my medium (which are harmless), so I don't think it is them either. I'm afraid I'm not sure what they are either. |
I am not sure about this but could they be earwigs? They look like the juvenile earwigs I see here in Oregon. I do not know if they are in Pennsylvania. They love to live in pots. Carol

I have no idea what these bugs are either....do you think that treating the media with some Neem oil could hurt? I'm hoping it would smother the little suckers...And how on earth did a snail get into my plant??? Are snails harmful? I've had this catt for a few years....What went wrong?
