Those are beautiful. From looking at your outdoor plants I'd have never guessed your Oregon location. How do you get them to survive through winter?
|
Well, to be fair, the garden looks it's best this time of year. The plants are all hardy here so I don't have to do anything-luckily. If they don't survive the get replaced. Some of the larger plants fade in the fall and by winter it's so dark and rainy no one looks at their gardens much ;)
It's pretty cool how some of the more tropical looking plants do well here. (Not like the stuff you all can grow down south of course :) ) |
Your yard plants are great! Full, fluffy and healthy!
How long is your growing season up there? Do the temps stay mostly mild all summer? Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed peeking at your world. |
hi Debs,
We have mild summers here, get a week or two in the 90's, low humidity. Growing season is pretty long. we are just getting strawberries now and I can get tomatoes into October if the rain holds off. |
