Not really my bloom. I bought her in bud. She decided to "open" up to me this morning.

Now that is cool! Ive been looking for a source for some Dracs here in Hawaii. Did you get this guy from the mainland or a local grower? I would love to know! Thanks!

PS Im also surprised you could get this one to bloom in the heat of Kona. Are you upslope more or does this one not mind hot temps?

Steve: I got her at the Kona Orchid Society Mother's Day show. Unfortunately I forgot to get the grower's info. But he had a handfull of Masdies and Dracs. Yup I live up Mauka, so way cooler than Kona town. Also I was told by the grower that D. Lotax does well warm.

Wow. I've really got to at least try one of these guys. I'm just not sure if I could make it work here in the high desert.
