I love the pattern and the color combination on these flowers.
Good luck with this plant. I hope it grows and blooms well for you for many years. :) |
thanks so much "p.s. I hope it does to "

Nice colors! I have never heard of this one before. Yes, orchids are difficult to stay away from for very long once you have gotten a taste of them!

A reaaly pretty one, hope it does well for you.

thanks for all of the kind comments:)

The colors are really nice. I'm digging that pattern too!

thanks a bunch for all of the kind comments, just wondering if I should wait until it finishes blooming to re-pot it

so far the plants doing good. The pseudobulb is starting to wrinkle a, little should i water more?
also when looking at the flowers i "accidentally " pollinated the flower with its own pollen expecting it not to work, well the flower is swelling like it worked "so far". I'm just a little concerned that it will stress the plant out to much " it only has one pseudobulb with a new one on the way" should i cut the swollen flower off? |
Most of the times I use a skewer to determine the wether I should water my orchids or not. I can see it on the plants, I can feel it on the pot but still I like being reasured by the skewer :-)
During growth and flowering season I tend to water my Oncidium alliance when the skewer still is a bit damp, but not wet. If the roots are OK, you might need to water more often. A picture of the bubls and pot/medium could help us giving you a better advise. Nicole |
