is this one from mexico? i read in books that this one is very hard to keep alive. i forget the name though...

It is a mexican species. It can be a difficult plant to keep in the warmer climate. Temperature and watering are the only two most important things for this species.

i believe its the one that i read about. you are one lucky orchid lover!

So beautiful! This is a species I always wanted to add to my collection, but never found available in Brazil. I can grow several Draculas, including Dracula vampira, so I believe I would be able to keep this one too. The major problem has been to find one! Congratulations!

The flowers are very fragrant. It smells like lemmon soap.
