Phal. doweryensis
This is the individual bloom
http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL858.../335605251.jpg This was the whole plant last year - first time to bloom for me. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL858.../335605254.jpg This is the plant this year - note the second spike growing. http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL858.../361691513.jpg Last year there were four blooms and this year six blooms. It is a sequential bloomer - the blooms open in rapid succession, last about two weeks and then fade. In a few weeks, you get a second round of blooms. This is a very interesting plant. Brooke |
Brooke, I really love this one. Does it always grow down or is that just the way you have it mounted? Where in the world did you find this one? I really love it! :)

Nice plant, and good info about the second flush of blooms. I don't believe I've ever seen this one.

Spectacular!!

Thanks everyone!
Kiki-do this phal grows naturally in this down position. Even when potted it will grow over the edge of the pot, never in the upright position. I purchased this plant from Dwayne Louder right here THE****************************** DOWERY****************************** ORCHID****************************** NURSERY He is a really nice vendor and provides some outstanding species.
