Hello all. My name's Alex, I've lurked this site a couple of years on and off.
I was finally forced to register when the main page wouldn't let me view content as a guest.
Like many of the other posters filling the introductions sub-board, I too, am from Ontario. More specifically, Toronto's east end, Scarborough.

I'm 27 years old, and I'm a construction Millwright. I've been interested in orchids for a few years now and I've spent countless hours reading and learning about what is now my favorite hobby and a real passion of mine.

My interests are mainly in species orchids of the Cattleya and Vandaceous alliances, or any similar or related genus.
I try to stick to mini's or smaller plants as my collection is indoors under lights. I have a few small seedlings of plants that will probably get pretty large, but that will be a good excuse to expand my space when the time comes.

I too, love cattleya, mainly the miniature one such as walkeriana and nobilior as well of Laelia like purpurata, tenebrosa and crispa.
