Done!!!
Well i have repotted 7 of mine little ones...(in S/H) what a chore!!
not really but my Sherry baby took about a hr. just to clean the roots!!!! my phals were the easiest..Cause of the roots not being like spaghetti with 3 yrs of bark embedding in it LoL 3 days before i repotted 2 others ..I Don't now if its the KLN or the heat map (heatting pad) might be a combination of both? But i am already seeing leaf growth and a new nubben (as you guys call it) I would like to thank everyone for the guided tips!!! For those that listened to me rant and rave in chat of my worries, thanks for listening and helping as well. For the ones i talk to in chat know me by now that i worry alot about doing the right thing. Thanks Eric!! |
Woohoo! Congrats on getting the re-potting done. I recently transfered a bunch of mine over too, and they took off immediately and are already blowing past their bark potted counterparts in just over a month. And the best part about it is not wondering if they need to be watered!
I hear you on Sherry Baby... I need to re-pot mine into S/H, but am super scared of the time it will take. But, it's in bark right now, and I can't seem to reach a happy balance between too dry and pb's shriveling, and too soggy. I had one plant that I had to water every day to keep from shriveling, now that it's in S/H, I water it once a week at best... and no shriveling! It began to put out two new growths within a week. |
do you follow the after moving to S/H keep out of the sun rule?
|
I grow inside under lights. I just stuck them right back where they were.

:groupwave: Congrats. on getting them done . By the way! Your chat enablers think you are doing a good job with them . :chicken:llama: Gin

Well sounds like you were thorough cleaning the plants before repotting. I should take the same level of care! Well done.

Nice job Herf! I know what a chore it can be. I have found that the plants (at least of mine) that benefit the most from S/H are the Onc. alliance plants. I just could not get the watering right in any other medium. Since transferring to S/H, they have bloomed and quite nicely. No more leaf pleating. Phals not so much. They seem to do just as well in CHC as they do in S/H.

Congrat's Eric! I understand about the root cleaning, that's the hardest part of this method!
I also noticed immediate root growth and was amazed at how the leaves picked up and look so much happier! (and I thought I was doing well "the other way") Al |
