Oncidium Sharry Baby Question

Since this is the first Sharry Baby I have ever owned I think these are part of the root system but am not sure why does it grow down the side of a leaf like this could someone explain what it is. Should I just leave it to grow on it's own??

Yeah this happens all the time with my sharry baby and some of my miltoniopsis. I just leave them; they usually don't get very large if you grow them in low humidity like I do.

Yeah, those are just aerial roots. My Onc. Twinkle does the same thing.
