Hi Golden, this is pretty impressive. Can you explain a little bit how you managed to grow these impressive plants and the moss? Are the clay furniture enclosed in a glass vivarium?
All the best Math |
Very interesting! Please do tell us more!

HI!
The idea is not mine.I was inspired by the photos of Michael Karlbom from Sweden. The first nanoviv (the vase) is in a small aquarium with a little computer fan running 24/7. The second nanoviv (the one with angraecoids) is free standing in the living room ,without any extras .The moss grew by itself. I cut down the moss 3 times already in order to grew thicker :) |
How do you keep the humidity high enought in your living room for growing moss? Are the vase filled with water and the humidity passed throught the clay? Do you have a link to Michael Karlbom work?
Again, it is very impressive. Math |
I am sorry,I forgot to mention it -the vase and the ceramic pipe are filled with RO water. Here is a link to the Michaels photos

Susanne ,it is realy easy to create and maintain such nanoviv. It is very useful for small orchids. You can take e long holiday without feeling anxious about your "pets" :)

I was wondering if we must search for terracota pots having special properties? Also where do you find the drainage terracota pipes? All I find are the PVS ones.
