Now it is the season of this species. It is one of the easiest cattleya species to bloom here if receiving sufficient sunlight exposure.

Those are some beautiful flowers !!! That's the skinneri v. oculata. I've got one of them and can't wait for next year to see how it blooms as it isn't blooming size just yet. Congratulations !!!!

Beautiful, I'd love to get my hands on one of those!

The coloration on that one is awesome! Congrats!

Pristinely beautiful!

Thanks for the inputs.
The seller just told me that it is a white skinneri. Luckily, it's a good white.

Love the crystalline white and the elegant shape, a really nice one.

Very nice. Can you post a picture of the entire plant? I have a C. skinneri var amalie x self growing attached to my palm tree. The tag that came with mine said that it is pink to lavender.

Dave
I am now far away from my home. I will add a photo of the plant next week.

Coerulea. It could have a range from dull washed lavender (coerulescens) to real grayish-blue-lavander (coerulea)

Alba. Completely white.

Alba-oculata. completely white with the exception of a colored throat. It looks like a true semialba for skinneri, but with very strong light flower develops some very light pink tones, so maybe is more right to say that alba-oculata is how "albescens" looks-like in skinneri

Anulata. It have a purple notorious ring on the lip. Flower color could be light to white (¿SEMI-ALBA?). This one is the rarest of all color forms.

Great info Jan!!!:bowing
