See unknown Zygopetalum hybrid spike
Hallo
like in my other post http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ila-spike.html I want to show you the spiking of an orchid plant. Here is an Zygopetalum that I got for 1 €. I dont know the flower. Look and let us be patient! 1 week ago http://www.orchidboard.com/community...opetalum01.jpg today http://www.orchidboard.com/community...opetalum02.jpg Thank you for interesting! Tesa |
Looks promising! Nice new roots as well. Can't wait to see the pics of the blossoms.
|
Very cool! Hmmm, I hope that a spike develops soon!
|
Perfect!
Isn't it interesting how a lot of zygos bloom concurrent with new growth, while other genera wait for that growth to mature, and still others bloom on old growths only. |
Looks like it's coming along strong... One Euro is pretty cheap for that plant! :) Good deal!
|
i really like the color patterns that most zygos have. u def should post A PIC when it blooms

Here are the flowers
Hallo outthere!
Here are some pics of the unknown Zygopetalum. http://www.orchidboard.com/community...alumbluete.jpg One spike broke and the other one had 2 blossoms only. But its better than nothing! Does anybody know the name? Greetings from Germany |
I can't identify it, but is very similar to Zygopetalum triste and Zygo crinitum, may one (or both!) is a parent plant.
