Have some thread about how to sow Paphiopedilum?

Hi,
I am looking for how to sow some seeds of Paphiopedilum and Phragmipedium in vitro.
I get some success using Triptofan but this product is not commum here.
Thanks for information.

I'm not very familiar with any special requirements for these varieties, but a traditional media such as MS might be a good starting point. I know that some specialty media have certain hormones and growth regulators, but other additives might be readily available in a grocery store. Coconut water, Pineapple, Potato, Banana, etc. Not all of these will work for every genus, but they are cheap enough for you to experiment with. Good Luck!

Yes, it can be done. Look around on the propagation section of the forum or do a search for threads containing certain keywords. The "sticky" threads at the top of the list have some good links as well. Of course a google search will yield some good results too.
