Just wondering if there is a specific name for this min phal. I got a few days ago? It didn't come with any tags or stickers. Thanks!

Sorry Christina, without a name tag, it could be many different crosses. It's certainly adorable! White phals are my favorite. :)

Kinda what I figured, thought I would take a shot! So is this what one would call a Noid? I'm learning.....

Yes, this would be a noid. I tend to name my noids some cute little name so they don't feel left out. :)

Looks like phal amabilis (a species) to me. The lip with the couple of pink stripes in it, etc, look like amabilis.

Amabilis is very lovely phal with a creamy white texture. Not a mini, but spike is relatively short compared to some, as your picture shows. Flowers are not huge, but plenty big.

If yours isn't a pure amabilis, I'll bet it's 80%+ amabilis parentage.

What a pretty phal! I tend to agree that it is probably P. amabilis. If not, it's still very nice.
Great photo's too. White isn't the easiest to photograph.

I agree - it looks like Phal amabilis, and they are frequently available at my local Trader Joe's. But, like others have said, without the tag, one can't be ablsoutely certain. We should all bancd together and tell the storews we want tags! In the meantime, the mini phals are fun and readliy rebloom. Enjoy yours!

Thanks looks just like my first orchid(that's where the madness started i should say) I joined OB just to ask the same question, but mine came with a tag. it said Phal amabilis but i wrote silibama :scratchhead: If you bought it at some store like Target,Meyers,Walmart ect... that's what it is more than likely a Phal amabilis
