Hi Andrew,

I was at the show myself and that was my very first orchid show! It was very enjoyable, and much bigger than what I had anticipated.

Thank you for sharing your photos. Although I did take some pictures I just couldn't keep away from the sales tables! Besides, it has probably been close to a year since I posted pictures on this forum, and I can't quite remember how. I'll figure it out one of these days.

Until today the only orchids I have are happy Phals and one unhappy Paph. With my new light unit, I felt brave enough to try other orchids so I now I have a Brassia Eternal Wind "TOW" and Odcdm Tiburon "Pacific Dragon". The other purchase I've made is Colm Wildcat, which I see is in one of your photos! :)

Thanks :)

lostonthebeach - I definitely like taking pictures of orchids, they look nice and don't move ;) Also one of the things I can practice taking pictures of at home, makes it easier to get out there and shoot them at a show.

latebloomer - It was my first time at a show as well, I was pretty impressed. I stuck to the show room so I wouldn't spend as much as I would have otherwise. Personally I only picked up an Aerangis biloba, but I also made a pretty big list for next year! :blushing:

Thanks for the ID on the Colm Wildcat as well, it was so crowded (and very warm with my coat on) I didn't get a chance to write down names of everything I took pictures of.

Oh, and if you (or anyone else reading this) has any more pictures from the show feel free to post them in here as well!
