water
soaking water temps... do you use cold// lukewarm//
or room temperature. I was planning on using some rain water i collected yesterday. But the temps dropped last night so now the water is cold.should i just bring it inside and let it get to room temp before using? or is it OK to use cold?:scratchhead: |
My preference is to let it come to room temp even lukewarm. I avoid real cold water.

:waving You are very welcome :)

Assuming that your orchids are in an environment that's the same temp as the room, then room temp would be fiine. If they're in a heated greenhouse with a much higher temp than the room, I would warm the water to be close to the temp they are in.

I'm glad that's what people think.
I just use tap water and usually straight out the tap, but recently it has been coming out of the tap so so cold. I've been letting it come up to the temperature in the room where the plants are before using it. |
Yup, that's what do too. Either let it come up to room temp, or fidget around to get it just right coming out of the faucet. I need to catch me some rainwater. I just never seem to think of it when it's raining (or I'm not home), and we haven't been getting much rain :(

Room temp or warm is good Eric :)

Thanks again :waving
