Hi, Gin, mine also has bloomed last month.
This species has 2 types. One is from Phillipines, the color is pink and gorgeous, the other is from lanyu, Taiwan, its color is darker, almost scarlet, the plant is shorter and less flowers than the former.

I know this is an old thread, but I recently purchased a dendrobium related to this one, and I was hoping to get some culture/care guidance.

My orchid is a Dendrobium Gonzayak, which is a cross between gonzaleski x miyakii and I'm curious to see how you grow your miyakii. The canes on mine are about 2 feet long and I love the way they hang over the side of the pot it's currently in. I'm wondering if I would be better off mounting this plant, though.

Do you have yours mounted, in a basket, or in a pot? Also, do you give yours a winter rest?

I spoke with the grower about care and he was very helpful, but I was also hoping to get some advice from anyone in the OB world that grows these. Any general (or specific) care guidelines you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
