Fragrant Paphs
Are there any fragrant Paphs out there? Not maudiea types (bet ya I didnt spell that right :blushing:).
How about Phrags? Thanks! |
paph delenatii is supposed to smell like raspberries. and malipoense i think is supposed to have a frangrance but im not to sure
|
Oh cool! I had no idea!
|
I have paph delenatii, it doesn't smell like raspberries exactly, but it is very frangrant. I hear that there are two different varities, one of which has the best scent. Don't remember anymore than that, sorry. They are very easy to grow too, with very nice leaves.

delenatii (rose scent), malipoense (raspberry scent), hangianum, emersonii, kolopakingii are noted as being fragrant.
As well if you are lucky you may get a paph hybrid with some faint scent |
My dark red one you like (Anhinga) smells like something dead by times if you put your nose right up to it. Guess it would be poliniated by flies in the wild, if it grew in the wild...
