Natural Orchidarium, Poison Dart Frogs & photos

I am in the process of setting up a natural looking Exo Terra Orchidarium and contemplating adding some Poison Dart Frogs and or Geckos. Does anyone have an Orchidarium with any of these critters and if so what experience have you had? In addition, I would apppreciate photos of you natural looking Orchidarium so I can get some setup ideas.

I don't have dart frogs, much less a terrarium/vivarium, but I can take a picture of the one my university has if you would like. It's amazing, and looks so completely natural. However there's only one orchid in there, the rest is mainly ferns. Everytime I have practicals in the lab where it's located, I look at it. There's frogs and fish in there too.

We have lots of folks here who keep frogs and "critters" in their tanks, I'm sure you'll get the answers you need.

In the meantime, take a look at our sister-site for more specific info:

I used to have a 75 gallon set up naturally with orchids in it, though they were not the main focus. This tank housed a pair of pumilio dart frogs. Keep in mind that many dart frogs can get rather bulky, and may damage the more delicate orchids. What size Exoterra are you going with? Most of them are small, and I'd ideally only recommend smaller species of dart frogs for them.

The Exo Terra Tanks is a 24"x18"x24". If I put Poison Dart Frogs or Geckos they will be a small species. Hoping someone has a Orchidarium set up naturally so I can get some ideas and critters would be a plus. Thanks

Here, you can take a look at this thread.

In that tank I can keep poison darts if I wanted to.
Though I would be hesistant to keep poison darts with geckos. I don't think mixing them is a good idea as pdf's get stressed easily.

Tindomul, Thanks for the response. The introduction of Dart Frogs or Geckos would be one or the other not both.

i was told when i was working in a pet store.. that the poison dart frogs if they are captive bred loose the ability to make poison. or at least not like thier wild bretheren.. i would love to set up a tererium.. more like a mini eco box with a small waterfall running water..fish frogs.. plants.. etc.. if i had the money. i would make one the size of a room lol..
