roots are in the reservoir
 

I switched to S/H with my actively growing chids and one of my Dens has a massive amount or roots. Some of them weaseled their way down into the reservoir. Is this a bad thing? Should i repot and try to get the roots out of the water?

If they grew into the reservoir, than they don't have a problem with it. Problems arise when you put existing roots into a new environment.
