Update of the 3 sad little Catts

Okay, as I'm sure some of you are aware, I bought 3 Catts in a bag from Lowe's. When I got them home and took them out of the bags there were no viable roots to speak of! :( After consulting my good friends on the Orchid Board I gained the confidence to try and grow them instead of giving up right then! Well, I potted them up and misted daily and gave them light. Now we wait. :goodluck: Well, I ordered some supplies, because I had no more bark, no more pots, I had nothing. So I ordered more pots than I need (at the moment  ), some SuperThrive, some Fir bark (I had no idea just how much 1 cf really is!) and some charcoal. After waiting for what seemed like an excruciatingly long time, my supplies came in. I looked everything over and thought of the mass re-potting I had in my future . I soaked my bark with some SuperThrive over night and re-potted everything. I gave everything a good look and trimmed what needed to be trimmed, whimpered over the state of some Phal roots :_( gave some Dens the once over with a pair of scissors to the dead roots and saw new growth on both of them :) and marveled at the progress these Catts have made in the short time I have had them! :D Holy Moly I think I can do this!!!!! Anyway, that is the update with :photo:
Thanks to everyone who helped me that night and every night for that matter!! :bowing
So, without further ado here are the fruits of my labor and worry!

Way to go Amanda! That looks like a promising start! It is always amazing to me just how much these plants want to live and thrive! All they need in most cases is a little help along the way. Great job of rescuing these babies. I am sure that they will reward you for your efforts! Keep up the great work!

Now if I could get some of mine to do the same. Congrats!! I know the kind of relief you are feeling.

Orchids are really pretty tough plants. Anything that could survive the long sea voyage back to England and the continent in the 19th century and still grow had to be tough. Great job, Amanda!
