Trimming brown roots and fungicides

In trimming the roots of orchids it is obvious that one would cut off the rotten ones. But what about ones that are just slightly brown. Cut those too or will they recover if treated with a spray-on fungicide or a systemic fungicide. Or should they be re-potted allowed to dry out and not chemically treated at all. Ah! the life and trials of orchid growing, but it is great when it works.

Thanks

Some roots become stained by the potting mix , bark can stain a fair amount of the roots within the pot so be careful these roots are not necessarly rotten . I would say if the root is still firm then don't cut them. However if they are soft and mushy then cut them off and spray the root system with a contact fungicide.

these roots are hanging out

The orchid that I am speaking of is my Vanda. Her roots are just hanging out. There is really nothing to stain them so I guess I will just monitor them and see if they get mushy. Is it possible that since she is in full bloom this might be normal?(I'm hoping) Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the advice. Will just monitor and treat with fungicide.
