This one is a very regular bloomer. About every three months os thereabouts, and blooms last for 2-4 weeks. Sometimes as many as 6, but only 1 this time.

Oh wow, that is a cutie! I'm not familiar with this little guy. How do you care for it, and what are it's needs?
Thanks for sharing! :)

I am SOOOOO jealous! I've had mine for over a year and NOT-A!!!

How are you growing yours?

Sorry . . . I mis-posted this. It was supposed to go in "Miniatures".

If an admin. would like to move it, fine with me.

Mounted on a (grapewood ?) stick, just as I got it from Andy's. His culture instructions are: light: high, water: moderate, temperature: intermediate.

Mine is on the Warm to Intermediate side, and probably less water than Andy's recommends (but I do have good humidity). It does get good, bright light in my GH.

It seems to be pretty easy, has grown and bloomed well since I got it 2 years ago.

If you get one, good luck with it!

Hehehe, one persons easy is another persons nightmare. Mine also from Andy's just does not like me. I initially had it under medium light but the leaves were burning??? I mean 9" from 2 T5 bulbs should have been fine. So now its under 1 13W compact flourscent and finally growing, it seems happy there so odd. Its taken me a few months to get a feel for this one. My temps are inter to warm usually.

Yours looks much nicer than mine. Love the woody stems.

Great looking Mini! Is this related to Restrepia?

EdinAZ 01-03-2009 11:32 PM

Is it related ?

I believe it is NOT . . . although the bloom shape is certainly very similar. I don't really know, and perhaps someone else on the OB knows what family it belongs to.
