Paphiopedilum chamberlainianum stoner

Since this is the first one that I have that has bloomed for me I was wondering what is the best guesstimate of when it will be fully bloomed. Not sure what it will look like since I can not find anything by this name on the tag but I guess time will tell.

Depending on your growing conditions, maybe 3 to 5 weeks??????

Looking at the outer 'shell' of the flower, it looks much different than mine at the same stage. While I don't have the 'Stoner' variety, and couldn't find anything, either, I thought I'd put up a recent picture of mine...not stealing your thread....

Also, I wonder if the label should read, "Paph chamberlainianum x stonei = Pahp Ethel Paph. Ethel (chamberlainianum x stonei) - Page 2 - The Slipper Orchid Forum - The First Online Slipper Orchid Discussion Forum

This is a good picture reference: Paphiopedilum & Phragmipedium Intro Page - AnTec Laboratory

Okay, this isn't much of a contribution, but Paph. chamberlainianum 'Stoner'? Really? Sign of the times, eh?

Freakin everyone is toking up, all of a sudden. Geeeze. Shades of the late sixties and early 70's much?

Hey guys,

Is this paph in question in this thread the same one known as "Pinnochio"?:scratchhead:
I have a "pinnochio" that looks identical, but that's all the info I have on it.

No, Paph Pinocchio is: glaucophyllum x primulinum
It won't have the white margin around the dorsal. While this isn't my best picure of Pinocchio, it will give you an idea of what it looks like.
