Angraecum didieri

How can one plant smell so strong and so sweet? No sense in posting a picture, it would look just like the last one http://www.orchidboard.com/community...idieri_071.jpg but I thought the fragrance was better. Maybe it's just me. My wife thought it stronger as well. Fragrance is only at night, by the way.

Gorgeous as ever, Ross! Too bad there's no smell-o-vision.

I love the contrast of the "orange" rope on the tag. LOL
Why not, everyone smells different. Beautiful orchid!

Beautiful Ross! Is there a reason you are growing this one in a pot in stead of mounted?

anything that smells so sweet is a winner! what a lovely blossom....

It's in bloom again???? How lucky, mine is so stingy and just content on giving me one new root :((

That's a really nice one, Ross!

I love the Angrecoids, and have sesquipedale and comorense, but in over four years, I've only had bloom (twice) on the sesquipedale. The plants seem very healthy, but I haven't figured out how to make them cough up some blooms.

How difficult is your didieri? What growing conditions?

Great flower Ross! It's amazing you can get such a show out of so small a plant!! They say the reason for the pure white flower is to attract night pollinators. Is that true Ross? If so, between that and the fragrance one would think that pollinators would flock to it!

It just fits the space I've allocated better. It needs pretty bright light and the little shelf I have doesn't have room for mounts. Besides, most of the roots are on the outside of the pot

IT'S BEAUTIFUL. I bought a tiny mounted one. It sure is a thirsty little rascal.
